These heart-shaped salmon patties exceeded my expectations in flavor and texture. They were moist with a perfect balance of spice. I should not have been surprised as hearts make everything better ❤
Mushroom Salmon Patties

Ingredients: salmon fillet {boneless,skinless, and wild-caught if possible}, onions, garlic cloves, mushrooms, broccoli, Dijon mustard, kale, salt, tomatoes, smoked paprika, Emerils, coconut flour, olive oil, and butter/ghee
First, sauté in a small skillet with olive oil:
•1/4 cup chopped onion
Then add:
•1 finely chopped garlic clove
Then add:
•1 finely chopped garlic clove
•2 finely chopped mushrooms
•1/4 cup finely chopped broccoli
•1/8 cup finely chopped kale
•1/4 cup finely chopped broccoli
•1/8 cup finely chopped kale
Cook covered on medium heat for 5-7 minutes
Then mix together in bowl:
•The ground up salmon
•Cooked vegetables
•1 tsp Dijon mustard
•1 egg white {or whole egg if doubling the recipe}
•1/8 tsp salt
•1/2 tsp smoked paprika {or regular}
•1 tsp Homemade Emerils {recipe is below}
•1/2 Tbsp coconut flour
•1/8 cup chopped tomatoes
•1 tsp Dijon mustard
•1 egg white {or whole egg if doubling the recipe}
•1/8 tsp salt
•1/2 tsp smoked paprika {or regular}
•1 tsp Homemade Emerils {recipe is below}
•1/2 Tbsp coconut flour
•1/8 cup chopped tomatoes
Form into 2 medium or 3 small salmon patties {heart-shape optional ❤}. Cook in the skillet over medium in a mixture of olive oil and butter/ghee for 2-4 minutes on each side.
Homemade Emerils {or Emeril's Essence} is my family's favorite seasoning. We use it for grilled fish, BBQing steaks, homemade potato wedges, etc. It is the perfect everyday spice and makes everything delicious.
Homemade Emerils
Combine together:
•2 1/2 Tbsp paprika {smoked or regular}
•2 Tbsp garlic powder
•1 Tbsp onion powder
•1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
•1 Tbsp dried oregano
•1 Tbsp dried thyme
•1 Tbsp black pepper
•2 Tbsp salt
